"He will... if we will"
The Revival Recipe

By John Davis

2 Chronicles 7:14 If my people who are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then ...will I  hear from heaven, … will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

There are five stages in the famous Revival Recipe ...

      It begins with-

1. If my people… God always looks to His people … He flows through His People … He never depends on the world or negotiates with the devil … He always respond to the cries of His own … He didn't say … if the world … of if the devil … or if the politicians … but if my people.

2. Shall humble themselves… Humility is the attitude that gains entrance into God's presence… He resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble (James 4:6) … Except ye become as a child (Matthew 18:3). Humility is not thinking bad about yourself … it's not thinking about yourself. We must decrease and He must increase.

3. And Pray… God does nothing but in answer to prayer … He said my house shall be called a house of prayer … not a house of singing … preaching … but prayer. Jesus began His ministry praying … and now He intercedes for us at the right hand of God. He is our example and shows us the awesome power of prayer.

4. And seek my face… not my hand … buy my face. There is a dimension of prayer that moves from asking to seeking. The Bible says … He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him (Hebrews 11:6).

5. And turn from their wicked ways… Not just our sins … but our ways (Isaiah 55:8). His ways are higher than our ways … the way we think, act and live can hinder the flow of revival.

We, as God's people must surrender over all to Him … and then … God says … I will hear … I will forgive … I will heal.
